Fortnite and Epic Games reportedly reached a licensing deal earlier in the year to bring characters from Paramount properties into the game. Chapter 2 Season 5 was filled with licensed characters coming the Fortnite island and while no Paramount characters from this deal have come to the island, some Paramount adjacent characters have.
What’s a Paramount adjacent character? This is a character from a Paramount Pictures movie or Paramount+ show that is in Fortnite already, but wasn’t a part of this deal and came from the rights holder or the character.
1. Master Chief (Halo)
The Halo television series was release on Paramount+ in March 2022 with a second season on the way. The Master Chief skin came to Fortnite in December 2020, long before the television series premiered and is from the Microsoft game and not directly connected to the Paramount+ series.
Can you still buy this skin? Yes. Master Chief is an item shop skin that returns periodically.
2. Snake Eyes (Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins)
The Snake Eyes skin came to Fortnite during Chapter 2 Season 5 in January 2021. I think the Snake Eyes skin was originally intended to be a direct movie tie in with the film originally planned for release in October 2020, just a few months before the release of the skin. The theatrical release of Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins was delayed until July 2021 due to theatre shut downs during the Covid pandemic.
Can you still buy this skin? Yes. Snake Eyes is an item shop skin that returns periodically.
3. Lara Croft (Tomb Raider)
Lara Croft was added to Fortnite as part of the Chapter 2 Season 6 Battle Pass. The skin was designed based on the newest trilogy of Tomb Raider games from Square Enix and included selectable styles based on the classic look of the character. Paramount Pictures released two feature films based on the video game franchise in 2001 and 2003 respectively.
Can you still buy this skin? No. Lara Croft was a battle pass skin that is no longer available.
4. Indiana Jones (Raiders of the Lost Ark)
Indy is a classic cinematic character first seen in the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark released by Paramount Pictures. The films spawned three sequels with another one on the way in 2023. This skin came to Fortnite in Chapter 3 Season 3.
Indiana Jones is owned by Lucasfilm which was bought by Disney.
Can you still get this skin? Yes and no. Indiana Jones is a battle pass skin in the current Chapter 3 Season 3. You have until September 2022 to unlock this skin.
5. Iron Man (Iron Man)
Iron Man may be a part of the Disney machine now that Marvel has been bought by Disney, but the first five Marvel MCU films were actually released by Paramount Pictures. In addition to Iron Man Paramount released Captain America, Thor, Iron Man 2, and the first The Avengers movie.
Can you still get this skin? No. Iron Man was a battle pass skin in Chapter 2 Season 4 and is no longer available. Captain America however is an item shop skin that returns periodically.
