Paramount+ announced today a bunch of renewls of serious in the Star Trek Universe. In addition to the renewal news, premier dates were also revealed for the 2022 slate of series. Star Trek series stream in the United States on Paramount+ and airs in television in Canada on CTV Sci-Fi Channel and streams on Crave.
Get ready, Star Trek fans, because the Star Trek Universe is expanding even further with the announcement of several series renewals—plus a handful of premiere dates—exclusively in the U.S. on Paramount+.
First, Star Trek: Discovery will be warping its way to a 10-episode fifth season, with Season 4 returning with new episodes beginning Thursday, Feb. 10. The fourth season will conclude on Mar. 17.
Then, Star Trek: Picard‘s second season will debut on Thursday, Mar. 3. Following the premiere, new episodes of the 10-episode-long second season will drop weekly on Thursdays. Plus, Star Trek: Picard is currently in production for its third season.
Star Trek: Picard Season 2 cast members include Patrick Stewart, Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Evan Evagora, Michelle Hurd, Santiago Cabrera, Jeri Ryan, Orla Brady, John de Lancie, Annie Wersching, and Brent Spiner.
Later this year, Captain Pike (Anson Mount), Number One (Rebecca Romijn), and Science Officer Spock (Ethan Peck) will be returning to the Enterprise with the debut of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds on Thursday, May 5.
Following the premiere, new episodes of the 10-episode season will drop weekly on Thursdays. And the Enterprise’s brand-new adventures in space don’t end there—Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has also been renewed for a second season.
And even that’s not all! The Cerritos crew will get up to even more high-jinks with Star Trek: Lower Decks‘ third season debuting in Summer 2022. We’ll be seeing even more of Ensign Mariner (Tawny Newsome), Ensign Boimler (Jack Quaid), and the rest of the lower deckers with Star Trek: Lower Decks‘ renewal for a 10-episode fourth season.
In addition, the first half of Star Trek: Prodigy‘s first season will wrap up with Episode 10 on Thursday, Feb. 3, with the remaining Season 1 episodes to debut in Summer 2022.
Phew! If that doesn’t tide you over, then nothing will.
