‘Scream’ takes second place in week three, ‘Spider-Man’ sits atop box office again

Paramount Pictures’ fifth entry in the slasher franchise Scream (2022) remained in second place at the weekend box office with an estimated $7.3 million domestically. The film has now opened in multiple international markets and has added another $44.1 million internationally. Scream (2022) has now taken in $106.3 million worldwide.

Remaining in top spot at the weekend box office was Sony / Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home which took in another $11 million, bringing the domestic gross of the film to $735.8 million and $1.74 billion worldwide.

Rounding out the top five was Universl’s animated Sing 2 with another $4.8 million for third place. Universal Pictures’ Redeeming Love remained in fourth place with $1.9 million while and 20th Century Studios’ The King’s Man rounded out the top five with $1.8 million.

There are pair of wide releases next weekend. Paramount Pictures will release Jackass Forever and Lionsgate will release the sci-fi film Moonfall.
